Just When I Thought I Was Out of the Political Game, I Get Sucked Back In.

It’s not like this is news, but to hear it casually confessed, really is appalling.  Here’s what I’m talking about.

It’s a slap in the face, basically saying “Yep, the media is on our side, what are you going to do about it?”  Yes, after the last Presidential election we all knew that the media just doesn’t ask the hard-hitting questions with now President Obama.  Seriously though, to send out a signal like this is…well…psychological.  This is the President throwing the first volley at the GOP candidates to rattle them up.

To Psyche them out.  Who in their right mind would want to go up against the media who can show the general public one side rather than both.  MSNBC has been doing this for at least four years.  Here’s the thing though MSNBC ratings have risen a little, but Fox News (Supposed right-wing giant) has increased dramatically. Click here for the ratings since 2000.

I’m not saying one is better than the other, I don’t watch any of them.  I may hear a story that interests me and then I reasearch with various different stories and draw my own conclusions.

My point is simple, know your candidates, vote for the one that has proven to be your person based on past actions.  Look at the Governors and look up what laws they implemented in their own state and what the results where from it.  Look at your Senator’s or Congressman’s voting record, do they vote they way they speak?  What resulted from that vote? and if it was signed into law how did it affect you?  Because, guess what, if you rely on the media then the media is choosing for you.
